Queen of Martyrs School is excited to announce the completion of its third wave of renovations and upgrades to the curriculum in the past 15 months. These improvements are part of a series of long term investments that the school has implemented to modernize facilities, upgrade programs and curriculum, and grow the enrollment for the future.
With the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, students return to new junior high classrooms and the unveiling of a new science curriculum. Specifically, the renovations and upgrades in Phase III included:
The implementation of a new Science Curriculum for Grades 1-8
Renovations to three junior high classrooms that includes the removal of old chalkboards and tile walls, new paint, floors, and whiteboards
Beginning this fall, Savvas Learning (Elevate Science) will provide QM students a comprehensive Science Curriculum based upon the Next Generation Science Standards. The curriculum includes phenomena-based inquiry, new lab kits for each grade, online access for students to videos and resources, and new textbooks. The rollout of the new curriculum also includes professional development and training for our teachers so that they can effectively implement interactive, hands-on experiments in our newly renovated labs.
“The addition of this new Science curriculum and the continued upgrades to our classrooms are essential to our overall vision for the future,” said Principal Stephen Davidson. “We are committed to the long term growth and success of Queen of Martyrs by offering an academically challenging, faith based education with amazing curriculum and facilities.”
