POPSICLES!!!! Mrs. Gagner’s first grade class has been working hard on iReady so she made a deal with the class. If they worked hard on iReady as a class, she would give them a sticker for every 100% they received. When they received their first 100 stickers, they were rewarded with popsicles. TODAY WAS 100 STICKER DAY! Way to go first grade!

What an exciting day for two QM alum! Emily Bojan and Mary Clare Bruseck, 2018 QM grads, sign their letters to play at the next level. Emily will be going to the University of Wisconsin Madison to play softball in the Big 10 conference and Mary Clare to play volleyball in the MAC conference at Western Michigan. Four year old Preschool was in our red, white & blue today honoring our veterans in support of Veteran's Day this Thursday! Thank you for keeping us safe!

Members of Queen of Martyrs Student Council and the NJHS collected Halloween candy to send to our soldiers overseas. Together they sorted and packed 14 boxes worth of candy. Thank you to all the school, parish, and community members who donated. We are so proud of our Wildcats!!

It is my unhappy task to inform you that due to the inclement weather today, we are forced to cancel our "Trunk or Treat" event scheduled for this evening. Praying that the weekend brings more favorable weather for the kids so they can enjoy the Halloween fun to which that have been so looking forward. Doc

What a wonderful day for a Nature Walk! QM 8th graders escorted our brand new Kindergarten Wildcats on a walk through nature right around school. Fall is awesome!

Mr. Mike Madera from St. Lawrence HS visited QM to talk with our 7th and 8th grade Wildcats. High School is coming!

Congratulations to QM's 8th grade girls basketball team. They played hard and took 2nd place in the consolidation round in this weekends 35th annual Great McAuley shootout. #RestoreTheRoar #MartyrsPride

Today we celebrated the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The Primary Grade students brought their favorite stuffed animals to school to be blessed by Father Marty. The children learned about this gentle saint and his love for all creation, especially animals! Father Marty visited our classrooms, even the gym where our preschool children were in class asking the students the type of stuffed animal they brought and what their names were. He then blessed them with Holy Water and told them Jesus would watch over them and keep them safe. The children loved bringing their stuffed animals to class for the day!

McDONALD'S FOR DINNER ON THURSDAY - OCT 7!!! It's pretty easy - all you have to do is to buy dinner at the McDonalds at 10320 S Kedzie Avenue between 4p - 8p and say "I'm with Queen of Martyrs" (show them this photo on your phone) and 20% of the profits from your order will go to Queen of Martyrs! McDonalds is donating a case of pies for us so all pie purchases and tips will go to Queen of Martyrs as well! Please note that both must be cash only.
