Thank you to our parents for a great hot dog lunch and the Wildcat Wheel for providing a special treat at the end of the day: Andy's Ice Cream. Go Wildcats!
Tuesday was a fun filled learning day in Mrs. Gagner’s class as everyone had a fun time making peeps fly. They used bats, tennis rackets and slingshots. Fly little peeps...fly!!!
Thank you to Illinois House of Representative Dan Ugaste for speaking with our 7th grade Social Studies class about his experience in the State of Illinois House.
Rep. Ugaste is 7th grader Maira Kovar's Uncle!
As we wind down the school year, how about a big round of applause for Mrs Gagner’s first grade class who mastered their addition and subtraction facts. Awesome job!
Congratulations to the QM Junior (3/4 grade) team for taking 2nd place in the spring soccer league! Way to go for ending a great season on such a fun and exciting note!

Congratulations to Mrs. Gagner for receiving the 2024 “I Inspire” Award of $2,500 for her inspiring work at Queen of Martyrs. Our community overwhelmingly nominated her for her tremendous commitment and dedication to her students.
“Mrs. Gagner promotes curiosity and enthusiasm in our students. She is a leader among the faculty and brings warmth, creativity and patience to her classroom. She fosters a nurturing environment where our students feel safe to learn and grow. She is a phenomenal teacher!”
Thank you, Mrs. Gagner for showing such “genuine care” for our students!
The Teri Keaty Joyce “I Inspire” Teacher Recognition Program launched in May 2024 aimed to recognize the important role teachers play in the lives of children. Family and friends have repeatedly remembered Teri as a kind and caring mentor and teacher. This award recognizes teachers exemplifying those characteristics. 💜
Thank you to Teri’s family and friends for the generous contributions to her memorial fund to make this award possible for area Catholic Schools. She would be proud to give back to this unique close-knit community where many family members call home. A memorial fund was set up in honor of Teri Keaty Joyce aimed to spread the message of love, kindness and support for education as that was a theme in her life. If you would like to join the efforts of the “I Inspire” program and recognize teachers in area Catholic schools, please email us at Iinspiretkj@gmail.com (mailto:Iinspiretkj@gmail.com)
The school year is winding down to its last days but there are still just a few more days to put in your calendar!
After our all school Mass today, Queen of Martyrs students, faculty and staff prayed and sang songs to celebrate the upcoming Feast of Corpus Christi during a procession of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.
May we always seek to adore Jesus in the Holy Sacrament!
Remember, today is not just BBQ's and a day off of school. We remember all of those who gave all in service to our country.
Join us on Tuesday, May 28th for our all school Mass at 8:30am with a special Corpus Christi Procession immediately following Mass. All of our families are welcome!
In honor of this celebration of our faith in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, our students are asked to dress in their Sunday Best .
This year, Mrs. Gruener, Mrs. Gagner and Mrs. Tina ran an extracurricular Science Club after school. The students were divided by grades and many fun, age appropriate experiments were done. The students made ice cream, marble runs, snow forts, and parachutes as well as learning about states of matter, seed dispersion, matchbox car run, spaghetti bridges. We loved having all of our Wildcats join us and look forward to doing it all again next year!
Mia McGreal and Matthew Malloy were recently honored by the American Legion Post No. 854 in Evergreen Park and will subsequently have their names engraved on a plaque that hangs on the wall at school.
They were selected to receive the award based on scholastic achievements and leadership abilities. They are also nominated for their dedication to their country. Both of these incredible individuals do an amazing job of always representing QM. Congrats!
Jahmel McGeen competed with over 800 students to become a Daniel Murphy
